Konichiwa! It's me, Hitomi-chan! (You already knew that...) I decided to start with one of the most popular and oldest animes. Inuyasha! (It also happens to be one of my favorite, isn't that ironic? Tee hee!)
Summary: When a girl named Kagome (herione!) falls into a well and gets transported back five hundred years into the Fuedal Era, she's suprised. Obviously. ;) She gets taken to a villaige where she's accused of being a spy from a neighboring villiage. That accusation falls flat when the head Miko of the villiage sees Kagome. Apparently, Kagome looks like her dead sister named Kikyo. (Not dead for long once the first episode airs) A demon (of which their is an abundance of in the Fuedal Era) comes after Kagome after only a day of her being trapped in the Fuedal Era and tries to kill her. It claims to be looking for the Shikon Jewel. She has no idea what it's talking about and runs into the forest of Inuyasha. She sees Inuyasha pinned to a tree by a sacred arrow. He wakes up at her presence and is none too polite. (not a shocker) But, they don't have long to chat before the demon appears again and rips something out of Kagome's stomach. It's the Shikon Jewel. (Suprise, suprise) It eats the jewel, which transforms it into a super demon. It then attempts to kill Kagome, again. Inuyasha says that if she pulls out his arrow then he will save her. It's a hard offer to say no to as she's being squished to death by a disgusting demon. So, she takes out the arrow. He does what he promised he'd do, and kills the demon. Kagome retrieves the jewel from the demon so that it can't ressurect itself. (one of the many powers of the shikon jewel. Basically, it gives you awesome powers.) But, things take a turn for the worst when Inuyasha then attacks her for the jewel. Long story short, he doesn't get the jewel. (Would it be a story if he did?) He follows her around, trying to get her to give it over to him. After a while of Inuyasha nagging and Kagome responding with "No" all the time, something takes a change for the worst. Kagome breaks the jewel and it scatters across the country in a hundred different pieces. It's then Kagome and Inuyasha have to team up to try to recover all of the jewel shards so that the jewel can be whole again. Needless to say, shards end up in the wrong hands and there are many battles for the shards. Loads of characters are added along the way, along with a super villain named Naraku.
Who I'd Recomend This Anime For: It's a bit complicated to watch on your own if you're a newbie to anime, it would definatly help if you had someone who knew what was going on watching it or reading along with you. It's not impossible to understand once you get a hang of it. Once the main idea's understood, it's simple! So, this has potential of being a beginner anime... But it would be helpful if you knew what was going on and how anime usually portrays emotions and stuff like that. =)
My Personal and "Valued" Opinion: I actually still adore this anime. It's heartfelt and makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside ^_^ Though, I do knows tons of people who are fed up with this anime. I get that, it's kind of repetitive after a while. It's alot of fighting without alot of advance in the relationship department... It gets frustrating, even for a fan like myself. Still, I love the characters and how they each have a background different from each other. They are each so well done that it makes other anime's look amature. ^_^ My overall opinion: A great anime with some really frustratingly suckish moments when all you want to do is hurl the remote at the screen. (It's not a bad thing, considering some of the awful animes that make me want to get rid of the telly itself. THE HORROR!)
Link To An Inuyasha Music Video (Fan Made): http://youtube.com/watch?v=YnbiTzI9vZ0&feature=fvstThe video above was not made by me but instead made by a fellow Inuyasha fan on youtube by the name of SiriGirl. I applaud your awesome Music Video skills! ^_^
None of the pictures above are mine, I do not own Inuyasha, I do not own anything I have written about except for my opinions. =)
